Mechanism of Action
A vinca alkaloid that arrests metaphase by binding microtubule protein to the mitotic spindle. Specific for the S phase.
Indications
Acute lymphocytic leukemia, Wilms tumor, rhabdomyosarcoma, neuroblastoma, Hodgkin’s disease, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Metabolism/Excretion
Metabolized in the liver; excreted in urine and feces.
