Mechanism of Action
A cell cycle-specific vinca alkaloid that inhibits mitotic spindle formation by binding to tubulin. Most specific for the M phase.
Indications
Hodgkin’s lymphoma, lymphoma, testicular carcinoma, Kaposi’s sarcoma, mycosis fungoides, breast carcinoma.
Metabolism/Excretion
Metabolized in the liver; excreted in bile.
Dosage Range
♦ Initial therapy: single IV dose once weekly. Guidelines are as follows:
