Mechanism of Action
An antiestrogen that competes for estrogen binding sites in breast tissue.
Indications
Axillary node-negative breast cancer in women after total or segmental axillary dissection and breast irradiation; node-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women after total or segmental mastectomy, breast irradiation, and axillary dissection.
Metabolism/Excretion
Metabolized in the liver; excreted in feces.
