Mechanism of Action
This drug is a potent nonsteroidal agent that acts by inhibiting the uptake of androgen or the nuclear binding of androgen to target tissues.
Indications
Metastatic prostate cancer in combination with luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone agonists such as leuprolide acetate.
Metabolism/Excretion
Metabolized in the hepatic system; excreted in the urine. Half-life: 6 hours.
