Acyanotic
Pressure on left side of heart is greater than right side. Left-to-right shunting causes overcirculation of lungs and may result in congestive heart failure
Cyanotic
Result of blood flow obstruction of right side of heart
Right-to-left shunt results in cyanosis

  • Complete atrioventricular canal (CAVC)
  • Coarctation of aorta
